After going to Ivy Tech on Thursday, Mom and I stopped by the pet store for her to buy some fish for her aquarium. While we were there, I looked at birds. I’ve really been missing Chip, and somehow I came home with two new parakeets.
These are some unusual parakeets: they do not swear, scream or otherwise engage in loud and obnoxious behavior. Instead they sing to us and live together peaceably. Wierd. So, introducing Daniel and Jack (named for Dr. Daniel Jackson and Jack O’Neil of Stargate SG1):

Great names for them. They are very pretty, Hannah! It must be refreshing to hear a Parakeet sing without the added curses!

Actually it’s kind of wierd! I’m really not used to nice and friendly birds.

Oh, neat! I really love SG-1! Daniel was my favorite. Have you seen the movies that go with the series?
Parakeets are really neat birds. A boy at our Church has a couple and they’re really sweet. He taught them a bunch of tricks too. Like to kiss your cheek or play dead. I wanted to get some for a while, but my Dad doesn’t want birds. He says they’re too noisy.
